2008 Flu Clinics |
| The Davidson County Health Department will be offering flu and pneumonia vaccines at various sites in the county this fall. The flu vaccine is readily available this year and the health department will be following the guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control for giving the flu vaccine, which recommends providing the vaccine to anyone age 6 months and older. The following dates and clinic sites will be available in Davidson County: |

Volunteer Income Tax Preparers Needed |
| Volunteers are needed to prepare free income tax returns at the Davidson County Tax Coalition’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site around Davidson County. Volunteers will receive training from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on tax policies as well as the tax preparation computer software.

| Having earned more than 100 medals in Special Olympics, Carlton Morris was inducted in North Carolina Gymnastics Hall of Fame in January 2008 as he now prepares to be inducted in Davidson County Sports Hall of Fame in October 2008. |
