The Seal of Davidson County

The Davidson County Seal is a circle with a blue band on the perimeter that contains the words "Davidson County' in the top section of the band and "Established 1822" in the bottom of the band. 
A white star is located on each side of the band.
In the center of the Seal is a shield topped with a falcon's head of white outlined in blue with a red gorget (plate collar covering the neck, top of chest and shoulders).  The shield has a blue stripe at the top and bottom and the fesse (band across the middle of the shield) is white.  
A red stag deer is in the center of the fesse.
At the top of the shield, there are two white pheons (tips pointing down) and at the bottom
of the shield, there is one white pheon.

Under the shield is the motto:  "VIGET IN CINERE VIRTUS", meaning "Virtue lives even in death".
