Resource Kits focus on particular topics covered in the Social Studies Curriculum. Teachers tell us our kits create a dynamic, interactive learning experience for their students. These hands-on kits can be borrowed for up to 2 weeks and are an excellent  way to introduce local history to school age children.

We will be updating these kits over the summer to meet the new Essential Standards and Common Core requirements that the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is implementing over the next several school terms.

"Townships Then and Now" 2nd Grade
"Civil War" 5th Grade
"American Revolution" 5th Grade
"Building a Community" 3rd Grade
"A Delicious Country" 4th – 8th Grade
"WWII" Middle/High School
"Schools Long Ago" Kindergarten
"Now and Then" 1st Grade

For specific curriculum objectives covered by each kit, please contact Museum Educator Gail Harrison.
