On June 26, 2001 the Davidson County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved amendments to the existing Solid Waste Ordinances.  These amendments provided for stronger rules, regulations and enforcement of improper and unlawful waste disposal.
In August of 2001 the Davidson County Integrated Solid Waste Department hired the County's first Solid Waste Enforcement Officer.  The officer's duties include illegal dumping investigations, writing citations, litter control and public education.

Illegal waste disposal and littering are major problems throughout the United States.  North Carolina and Davidson County are no exceptions.  Help us to keep our State and County clean and green!
