On March 21, 2010, the Davidson County Parks and Recreation, Davidson County Solid Waster Management, with the Davidson County Horseman's Association opened Hamby Creek Trails.  The trails are for horse riding and hiking trails are open to the public.  The trails are located on closed sections of old landfill property.  There are 3.5 miles of trails that wind and crisscross through fields and woods.  The trails are open seven days a week.
