There are many ways for you to get involved in taking care of our natural resources. One program offered through the Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Davidson SWCD is the Earth Team. The Earth Team is composed of volunteers who work side by side with Natural Resources Conservation Service employees and Soil and Water Conservation District employees to help people protect and conserve the Earth’s natural resources.

The volunteer’s interests and abilities determine where they will apply their efforts. Volunteers can contribute by working with District and NRCS employees providing technical assistance in the field, working on educational programs, providing office assistance, preparing information packets and materials, photographing conservation measures and activities, leading conservation presentations, and many other tasks within the scope of the District’s conservation program.

The Earth Team gives you the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and be a part of a dedicated conservation effort.

To get involved call the District Office or call 1-800-THE-SOIL (1-800-843-7645).
