    NACo, (National Association of Counties) together with iCivics, has created an online game, "Counties Work," to educate students, grades 6 through 12, about the important role and functions of county government by letting them run their own county. A curriculum and web quest has also been developed to assist teachers with preparing lessons on county government.

    The Davidson County Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing regarding the Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2013-2014 on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 7:00  p.m. at the Davidson County Governmental Center in the Commissioners' Meeting Room on the 4th floor.

    CHANGES ARE COMING!!! Soon you will be paying your Davidson County Vehicle Tax at the DMV at the same time you pay for your vehicle registration. North Carolina has changed the law to be more convenient for the tax payer and more effiecient for the County's collections.

    Social Services is now accepting registration for children to attend Kamp Kiwanis this summer. Kamp Kiwanis provides a one-week camping experience for deserving Davidson County children.

    Pageant Looking for Senior Contestants
    Davidson County Department of Senior Services Senior Dynamics program will host its 21st annual Ms. Senior Davidson County pageant June 20th. A contestant search is now in progress for ladies age 55 or older to compete for the title.
